On November 6th, the "6th China International Import Expo Shenzhen Trade Delegation Procurement Matchmaking and Cross-border E-commerce Development Exchange Conference," themed "Crossing Boundaries, Achieving Win-win Cooperation," was successfully held in Shanghai. Over 150 industry opinion leaders, cross-border ecological service entrepreneurs, and media scholars participated, jointly exploring industry trends, devising development strategies, and discussing the path of cooperation. Dai Bin, Vice President of Di Sifang, was invited to participate in this exchange meeting, and shared Di Sifang's efforts to enhance the quality and increment of cross-border e-commerce development from three perspectives.
Firstly, providing flexible supply chain services for cross-border e-commerce sellers. Currently, new formats such as shelf e-commerce, live-streaming e-commerce, content e-commerce, and interest-based e-commerce are emerging, presenting fragmented, small-batch, and high-frequency business demands, significantly increasing the demand for flexible supply chains.
Since February 2023, Di Sifang has initiated the first-mile network expansion plan. By mid-October, the first phase of the project was basically completed, and a nationwide network layout was initially established. It provides sellers with pick-up, consolidation, and drop-shipping services, becoming the most sound pick-up network system in the domestic cross-border e-commerce field. It ensures pick-up efficiency and timely response to customers' flexible logistics needs, providing customers with high-quality pick-up services.
Secondly, empowering technology, relying on digital operations and technological innovation to drive business development. Di Sifang has built a digitized pick-up operation system based on digitalization, effectively achieving visualized order management, rational inventory layout, optimal route planning, and optimal resource allocation, helping enterprise customers improve supply chain operational efficiency.
Di Sifang has achieved full-chain digital monitoring of pick-up: from order placement, pick-up, loading, shipment, delivery, to signing, the entire process is monitored and tracked, including vehicle trajectories, transportation routes, etc., realizing visualized monitoring of logistics throughout the process, ensuring the safe delivery of goods.
For the in-house links, Di Sifang continuously enhances the automation, digitalization, and intelligence of warehouse construction, and combines means such as big data, AI algorithms, and cloud computing for systematic research and development upgrades. By introducing high-tech equipment to increase capacity and guarantee timeliness. During the 2021 Double Eleven period, customers placed orders in just 2 minutes, and Di Sifang's pick-up drivers completed on-site pick-ups, which is a concentrated embodiment of Di Sifang's technological empowerment.
Furthermore, Di Sifang also adheres to value creation, conducting product and capability precipitation, and achieving excellence in operational capabilities throughout the entire operation. In the UK market, Di Sifang recently launched the "UK联邮通晚必赔-普货/带电产品" service, with a guaranteed delivery time of 7 days during the off-peak season and automatic compensation for any delay exceeding 1 second. Since the implementation of the project, significant results have been achieved.
Cross-border logistics routes are long and involve multiple links, and a common concern for sellers is the occurrence of tracking interruptions after the goods are shipped. To provide sellers with more reliable service guarantees, Di Sifang has introduced a new end-to-end tracking interruption compensation guarantee. Even if the interruption is due to the end service provider, we promise to compensate sellers for any losses.
Regarding this Import Expo, Daibin believes that it promotes exports through imports and drives imports through exports. The development of the world economy requires an open China, and China's takeoff cannot be separated from the inclusiveness and cooperation of the world. From "Made in China" to "Created in China" and then to Chinese brands going global, from following to imitating and then to micro-innovation and creation, China's journey in cross-border e-commerce is still long and arduous. The trend and direction for the next decade will be the integration of Chinese brands going global with global brands. Di Sifang will leverage its nearly twenty years of experience in cross-border warehousing, logistics supply chain operations, and service capabilities to escort and contribute to the development of the Silk Road e-commerce for various cross-border e-commerce platforms and merchants in China.
