Data from research company Apptopia reveals that the time spent by American consumers on Temu (Overseas version of Pinduoduo) is nearly double that on major competitors like Amazon. According to Apptopia's analysis, in the second quarter, users spent an average of 18 minutes per day on the Temu app, compared to 10 minutes on Amazon and 11 minutes on Alibaba's global platform AliExpress. The time spent on Temu continues to increase, reaching around 22 minutes in October, showing a growing gap compared to shopping giants like Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

3. Amazon Brazil Site Officially Open to Chinese Sellers:
On December 13th, during the 2023 Amazon Global Store Cross-border Summit, Amazon announced the official opening of its Brazil site to Chinese sellers. The logistics for the Brazil site will be entirely based on the Merchant Fulfilled Network (MFN) model. This means sellers, including Chinese sellers, will independently handle shipping from their hands to the buyers in Brazil, allowing sellers to have autonomous control over inventory management and returns. It's worth noting that the Amazon Brazil site had already started trial operations for domestic sellers in April this year, marking it as the 18th overseas site open to Chinese sellers by Amazon.

4. Dunhuang Network to Implement Full Online Shipping Rules for Logistics Orders in January:
On December 13th, Dunhuang Network issued a notice stating that starting from January 15, 2024 (based on the buyer's payment time), the platform will officially implement full online shipping rules for logistics orders. Offline obtained logistics tracking numbers cannot be retroactively filled in (overseas warehouses are not within this restriction). On December 13th, eBay Germany released the shipping carrier shipping deadline for the 2023 holiday season. eBay recommends that sellers clearly indicate the shipping deadline for items in their listings to ensure buyer expectations are met. 7. China Cargo Airlines Prepares for the Operation of 8 A330 Passenger-to-Freighter Aircraft:
On December 13th, China International Cargo Airlines is set to begin operating Airbus freighters, with the first batch of 8 A330P2F freighters joining the fleet by the end of this year. These 8 passenger-to-freighter aircraft were part of a formal contract signed earlier this year with Germany-based freighter conversion company Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW). The flight number for the "Zhengzhou to Bangkok" cross-border e-commerce dual-cycle cargo charter route is HT3811, and the aircraft type is the Boeing 737-800. It is scheduled to depart from Zhengzhou at 7:00 AM and arrive in Bangkok at 11:30 AM, planning to operate 5 flights per week, with an estimated 240 flights per year, adding around 10,000 tons of air cargo and an import and export value of about CNY 1 billion.

9. Jiahong Logistics Launches Cross-border Air Charter Services:
On December 13th, CARGO Jiahong Group's subsidiary, Jiahong Logistics International Holdings Co., Ltd., through its affiliated company Jiahong International Express Co., Ltd., has launched cross-border air charter services. This one-stop international logistics solution aims to assist mainland Chinese e-commerce platforms in expanding overseas markets. Currently, Jiahong Logistics has completed a charter project for a leading Chinese e-commerce company, transporting around 60 tons of goods from China to Europe using a well-established logistics network. The goods were initially transported from Guangzhou to Hong Kong by cross-border land transport, and then around 60 tons of cargo were air-chartered from Hong Kong to Europe.
This charter project lays a solid foundation for future long-term cooperation with clients. The group plans to provide multiple air charter services for clients later this month to meet the upcoming Christmas peak season demand. Discussions are also underway to provide regular air charter services two to three times a week starting next year.
