On December 27th, it was reported that before Christmas this year, the number of packages shipped by fast-fashion company SHEIN and cross-border e-commerce platform Temu, a subsidiary of Pinduoduo, to U.S. customers experienced a significant surge. According to data from package shipping consultancy ShipMatrix, these two rapidly growing shopping platforms collectively ship around one million packages on average each day in the United States. While this figure represents a relatively small portion of the total daily package shipments in the United States, it reflects their rapid growth.
The daily package delivery volume for Temu and SHEIN to U.S. customers is already more than twice that of TV shopping networks and online retailers QVC and HSN, which collectively ship around 413,000 packages nationwide each day. In comparison, Amazon delivers over 20 million packages on average every day in the United States.
During the current peak shipping season, both Temu and SHEIN are even busier, with ShipMatrix estimating that the average daily package deliveries in the United States for this quarter are around 82 million.

2.SHEIN becomes one of the fastest-growing brands in the United States in 2023.

4.Transaction activities between Tokopedia and TikTok have obtained approval from the Ministry of Commerce.
On December 27th, Aditia Grasio Nelwan, the Communications Director of Tokopedia, stated that the company and TikTok have obtained the necessary licenses to conduct transactions on the TikTok application.
Aditia mentioned that, in principle, the payment process will take place within the Tokopedia system, and TikTok will serve as the platform to showcase product choices to consumers. 5.Alibaba International Station updates logistics fulfillment rules.

6.Suzhou Air Cargo Center is operational.
On December 27th, the Suzhou Air Cargo Center, jointly constructed by Shanghai Airport Group and Suzhou Port and Shipping Group, was officially inaugurated in the Suzhou Industrial Park Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
The integration level of this air cargo center with the Shanghai Airport cargo station is described as "entering the Suzhou Air Cargo Center is equivalent to entering the Shanghai Airport cargo station" for company goods. After the Suzhou Air Cargo Center is systemically integrated with the Shanghai Pudong Airport cargo station, it can complete operations such as document creation, pre-approval submission, and security check declaration through the system. This model is estimated to reduce logistics costs by over 10%, saving more than 6 hours compared to conventional methods in overall efficiency.
The first shipment after the center's inauguration was 198 pieces, nearly 4,000 kilograms of clothing and hats from Shanghai Limeng International Logistics Co., Ltd. After completing one-stop operations within the cargo center, the goods were transported to the Shanghai Pudong Airport cargo station by truck flights, underwent security checks, completed pallet assembly, and flew to destinations such as Hong Kong and the United States on the early morning flight the next day.

7.SF Airlines opens Chongqing to Budapest intercontinental freight route.
On December 27th, SF Airlines, using a B767-300 all-cargo aircraft, took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport with nearly 50 tons of cargo, heading to the capital of Hungary, Budapest. This marked the official launch of the "Chongqing⇌Budapest" intercontinental freight route, SF Airlines' first route to Hungary. 8.Sichuan Airlines opens Nanning to Singapore all-cargo flight route.
On December 27th, Sichuan Airlines' first A321 all-cargo aircraft took off from Nanning Wuxu International Airport in Guangxi and safely landed in Singapore. 9.Wuxi Airport's cross-border e-commerce business volume exceeds one million shipments for the first time.
On December 27th, with the departure of flight I98805, a Wuxi to Incheon all-cargo flight, Wuxi Shuofang Airport's international express center achieved a cumulative total of 1.005619 million cross-border e-commerce export shipments this year, with an export trade value of 211 million RMB. The total volume of international express and cross-border business for the year exceeded 5,000 tons.
