Financial data shows that from 2020 to 2022, the company achieved operating revenues of CNY 15.325 billion, CNY 19.688 billion, and CNY 21.538 billion, with net profits of CNY 4.014 billion, CNY 5.632 billion, and CNY 4.648 billion, respectively. Southern Airlines Cargo plans to raise CNY 6.08 billion, with CNY 5.6 billion for purchasing freighters and CNY 480 million for information technology and digital construction.

2.China Opens 140 New International Freight Routes by November 2023

4.Ezhou Hua Lake Airport Surpasses 1,000 International Cargo Flights
On January 3rd, the 1,000th international cargo flight departed from Ezhou Hua Lake Airport to Delhi, India. Since its temporary opening in April 2023, the airport has experienced continuous growth in cargo flow, with over 4,000 international crew inspections and more than 45,000 tons of international cargo throughput. 7.CMA CGM Announces Peak Season Surcharge from Southern Europe to Northern Europe
On January 3rd, CMA CGM announced the implementation of a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) starting from January 10, 2024. The surcharge will be applied to goods departing from southern Turkey, especially Mersin and Iskenderun ports, heading to northern Europe, including Ireland, the Scandinavian Peninsula, Baltic countries, and Poland. The PSS will apply to all types of cargo, with a charge of USD 110 per unit. The PSS for goods bound for the UK is USD 127 per item.

8.Maersk Announces Temporary Suspension of Shipping
On January 3rd, Maersk announced a temporary suspension of ship transits through the Mandeb Strait for 48 hours, following a missile attack on one of its container ships in the Red Sea by Houthi forces from Yemen on December 30, 2023. The U.S. Navy and onboard security teams successfully repelled an attempted boarding by Houthi forces on December 31, 2023. Maersk plans to resume the transit of more than 30 container ships through the Suez Canal and Red Sea in the coming days.
