1.Maersk and MSC Adjust Shipping Routes


News on January 30th: Maersk announced a series of adjustments to its maritime network covering India and the Middle East trade. A new round-trip route has been opened in Colombo to facilitate the transshipment of goods between the Mediterranean and the Indian subcontinent. Maersk also announced four new services to strengthen its intra-West Asia network, connecting goods from the Red Sea and the Mediterranean in the Gulf region. The new services are expected to start on February 5th.

In addition, due to the current situation in the Red Sea, MSC has temporarily suspended all eastbound and westbound transits through the Suez Canal.
