Market consulting firm LEK Consulting released its "2024 LEK Footwear and Apparel Brand Popularity Index" on March 20th, revealing that the well-known fashion brand SHEIN once again secured the top spot as the most popular casual women's wear brand in the US. This marks its third consecutive year at the top, indicating that SHEIN has consistently held the highest popularity in casual women's wear across America since the index's inception three years ago. Additionally, SHEIN ranks third in the casual men's wear category.


Before this, according to data from market analysis firm data.ai, SHEIN also topped the global shopping app download charts in 2023. Amidst the rapid growth of cross-border e-commerce, SHEIN's business continues to accelerate, driven by its "owned brands + platform" dual-engine strategy, facilitating the expansion of more high-quality Chinese manufacturing and cross-border merchants.

3. Performance of Six Listed Airlines' Cargo Operations in February 2024


On March 20th, the six listed airlines in China successively released their major operational data for February 2024.


According to the announcements, these six airlines collectively completed a cargo and mail transport volume of 338,900 tons in February, a decrease of 22.77% from the previous month. Among them: domestic cargo and mail transport volume amounted to 214,200 tons, down 25.5% month-on-month; international and regional cargo and mail transport volume totaled 124,700 tons, down 17.58% month-on-month.

6. Cainiao Expands "Global 5-Day Delivery" to Core Markets in Europe, America, and the Middle East


On March 20th, Cainiao, in collaboration with AliExpress, announced a comprehensive upgrade to its "Global 5-Day Delivery" service. 7. HPL Releases 2023 Annual Financial Report


On March 20th, HPL announced its 2023 annual financial report, revealing a significant decline in performance. 8. Inditex to Invest $2 Billion in New Logistics Centers


On March 20th, Zara's parent company, Inditex, announced plans to double its logistics capacity by investing €1.8 billion (approximately $2 billion) in the construction of three new distribution centers and the expansion of another facility over the next two years.


Inditex will establish a second distribution center in Zaragoza, Spain, covering approximately 3.1 million square feet with three-story warehouses and 113 loading docks.


The company is also building two facilities in Valencia for Bershka and Tempe. For Bershka, Inditex will construct a 1.25 million square feet distribution center, while Tempe will have a 1.5 million square feet logistics center.
