4. The final round of negotiations for Deutsche Bahn's sale of DB Schenker has begun.

 

Four companies, including shipping giant Maersk, freight forwarding giant DSV, Saudi logistics company Bahri, and a private equity consortium composed of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and the Singapore Wealth Fund (GIC), are in the running. MSC is either out or withdrawing from the bidding process.

 

According to sources familiar with the matter, Deutsche Bahn Group hopes to collect final bids from the four bidders for DB Schenker by August this year. Deutsche Bahn Group aims to generate substantial revenue from the sale of DB Schenker.
