1. Top 50 Global Logistics Enterprises List
On June 19th, the International Logistics and Transportation Association Annual Conference opened in Langfang, Hebei. Over 300 guests from more than 70 countries and regions attended the morning ceremony and Global Supply Chain Sustainable Development Conference. During the opening ceremony, the "Top 50 Global Logistics Enterprises List" was released, with the top ten companies as follows: DHL (1st), United Parcel Service (2nd), FedEx (3rd), Maersk (4th), DEX (5th), DSV (6th), COSCO (7th), Xiamen Xiangyu (8th), Union Pacific (9th), and Hapag-Lloyd (10th).

2. SHEIN Ranks Second Among China's Unicorn Enterprises
On June 19th, at the "2024 China (Chongqing) Unicorn Enterprise Conference," Great Wall Strategic Consulting released the "2024 China Unicorn Enterprise Research Report," revealing the latest developments in China's unicorn enterprise landscape. The report indicated that in 2023, China had a total of 375 unicorn enterprises with a combined valuation of approximately $1.2 trillion. E-commerce platform SHEIN ranked second among Chinese unicorn enterprises with a valuation of $64 billion in 2023. 3. Temu Tops the Market Download Charts
Pinduoduo's international version, "Temu," surged to the top of the May Middle East App Store download charts, surpassing the video editing application "CapCut" to become the region's top non-game app download. In May, Temu accumulated over 2.54 million downloads in the Middle East, driven by its 3D visual shopping experience mode tailored for VR glasses, which gained popularity in the region and attracted numerous user downloads. Meanwhile, CapCut maintained its position as the top app on the Google Play download charts, with over 1.61 million downloads in May alone.

4. Wan Yitong Becomes SHEIN's First Certified Warehouse for Semi-Managed Mode
On June 19th, Wan Yitong became SHEIN's first certified warehouse for the semi-managed mode. Wan Yitong's system is integrated with SHEIN's system and is currently undergoing small-scale gray testing, expected to be fully launched shortly. 7. Guangzhou Customs Reports 2.9% Year-on-Year Increase in Cross-Border E-Commerce Retail Export Lists
On June 19th, it was reported that this year, many Chinese cross-border e-commerce platforms adjusted their "618" promotional activities to last for a month, starting from May 20th. Statistics show that from 8:00 PM on May 20th to June 16th, Guangzhou Customs supervised over 52.4 million cross-border e-commerce retail import and export lists, marking a 2.6% year-on-year increase. Among them, the cross-border e-commerce retail import list exceeded 5.97 million tickets, a 0.4% year-on-year increase, with main imports including food, cosmetics, and leather products; the cross-border e-commerce retail export list exceeded 46.45 million tickets, a 2.9% year-on-year increase, with main exports including clothing, plastic products, and leather goods.

8. Maersk Announces Increase in FAK Rates for European Lines
On June 19th, Maersk issued a customer notice, announcing an increase in Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates from major ports in Asia to multiple destination ports in Europe, up to a maximum of $9,400 per FEU. This adjustment will officially take effect on July 1st and will remain effective until further notice, but not beyond December 31, 2024. 9. Xiamen Port's Haitian Terminal Adds New RCEP Route
On June 19th, the vessel "Haifeng Rizhao" entered Xiamen Port on the 15th and successfully berthed at Berth No. 16 of the Dongdu Port Area's Haitian Terminal. This marks the maiden voyage of Hai Feng Shipping's CVM2 route from Xiamen Port.
It is understood that the CVM2 route is a star route for Hai Feng Shipping, with calls at: Xiamen - Kota Kinabalu - Mindulu - Qinzhou - Haiphong - Nansha - Shekou - Xiamen, creating the fastest service from Xiamen to East Malaysia (East Malaysia), with Kota Kinabalu reached in just 5 days and Mindulu in 8 days. The route is operated by three vessels and is scheduled to call at Haitian Terminal every Saturday. The export volume of this time is approximately 100 standard containers, including fertilizers, daily necessities, and raw materials.

10. Maersk Launches Chicago Rockford - China Air Cargo Route
On June 19th, Maersk announced that, as of June 1st, it had temporarily suspended flights from Shenyang, China via Seoul, South Korea to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) and would deploy dedicated Boeing 767-300 freighters to open a new route connecting Chicago-Rockford International Airport (RFD) and Zhengzhou, China. The route will start on Mondays, with three flights per week and refueling in Anchorage, Alaska.
Maersk's transformation into a regular freight airline for the mid-end market will take another step forward in the third quarter, with the company launching its first Boeing 777 freighter.

11. Incheon Airlines Selected as Preferred Bidder for Korean Air Cargo Business
On June 19th, Korean Air announced that it has selected Incheon Airlines, South Korea's only all-cargo airline, as the preferred bidder to purchase Korean Air's cargo business, meeting the conditions for the merger of the two companies set by the European Union. Korean Air stated it will acquire two-thirds of Korean Air's shares for $1.35 billion, a decision made amidst the severe financial difficulties faced by Korean Air at the end of 2020.
The European Commission indicated in February of this year that it would approve Korean Air's acquisition if Korean Air stripped its cargo planes, airport slots, traffic rights, crew members and other employees, as well as customer cargo contracts. Approval from the European Commission is required before the transaction can be completed.

12. China's Trade and Logistics Total Exceeds 12.61 Trillion Yuan in 2023
On June 19th, at the opening of the 2024 China·Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair, the "China Trade and Logistics Development Report (2023)" was released. The report indicates that China's total trade and logistics amounted to 12.61 trillion yuan in 2023, a 5% increase compared to the previous year.
