On July 23, with just three days left before the 2024 Paris Olympics, the National Sports General Administration's Sports Equipment and Gear Center and Cainiao Group held a logistics donation and handover ceremony at Cainiao’s Paris distribution center.

At the event, Cainiao Group Vice President Niu Zhijing announced that Cainiao will provide comprehensive cross-border express delivery services for the "Chinese House" and the "Training Camp" and "Support Camp" supplies. They will ensure that all support materials are safely delivered. The handover of the supplies was conducted with Yu Jianyong, Director of the National Sports General Administration's Sports Equipment and Gear Center.

The "Chinese House" has consistently showcased China's national image, sports achievements, and cultural charm to the world. In the 2024 Paris Olympics, the "Chinese House" not only provides local support services for Chinese athletes but also sets up a window to display Chinese culture in Paris

Director Yu Jianyong stated at the event, "With the Olympics approaching, the timeline for transporting materials is very tight. As a leading cross-border logistics company in China, Cainiao responded promptly to the Sports Equipment and Gear Center's transportation needs. By leveraging the local courier network in France, Cainiao efficiently transported the 'Chinese House' support materials to the designated locations, demonstrating the advanced global positioning of Chinese logistics companies and their commitment to supporting the Olympics."

It is reported that due to the varied shapes, weights, and volumes of these "Chinese House" support materials, they are not suitable for individual shipping. Cainiao relied on its French courier network to ensure that over 700 boxes of materials were successfully transported from China to Paris, France.

Less than a week ago, the operational materials for the construction of the "Chinese House" were airlifted in batches to Paris via Cainiao. After being temporarily stored at Cainiao’s Paris distribution center, they were transported by truck to the Olympic Village and the "Chinese House" in Paris. Due to the tight timeline, Cainiao used a digital customs clearance system to pre-report the materials, reducing the customs clearance time in Paris by more than half. In Paris, Cainiao urgently deployed dedicated courier fleets and applied for permits in advance, ensuring efficient delivery of the materials despite traffic restrictions.
