Introduction: In 2022, China Post reached a strategic cooperation with the Ozon platform, launching ePacket and other services for the Russian market.

In 2022, China Post reached a strategic cooperation with the Ozon platform, launching ePacket and other services for the Russian market. Today brings significant news—China Post's ePacket service has added a new route to Kazakhstan, extending its transportation services to cover CIS countries!

As a standard direct logistics service for cross-border small parcels, ePacket currently covers mainstream routes. Combined with the previously launched China-Russia route products, China Post now covers both the Russian and Kazakh markets on the Ozon platform. More stable and economical logistics services help cross-border sellers further expand their business scale in China, Russia, and CIS countries, meeting the development needs of cross-border sellers.

China Post offers various products on the Ozon platform at preferential prices. Users can choose suitable China Post logistics products according to their actual needs, and for specific pricing details, they can consult their account manager. Currently, both air freight and special offer solutions are available for the Ozon Kazakhstan route, catering to different logistics needs of sellers. Sellers can choose between air freight or special offer solutions based on their own circumstances.

According to reports, Ozon entered the Kazakhstan market in 2021 and has become one of the five most important companies in the country's e-commerce sector. The company manages six logistics centers in Kazakhstan and is developing the country's largest network of order pickup points. In 2023, the number of buyers on Ozon Kazakhstan increased 6.5 times, and the number of orders increased 16 times. In addition to the growth in order volume, the number of Chinese sellers on the Ozon platform is also steadily increasing. Since 2020, Ozon has been expanding in China, and in 2022, Ozon Global opened a representative office in Shenzhen. According to 2023 data, the number of active Chinese sellers on Ozon Global increased 2.5 times, surpassing 100,000. Their overall turnover increased threefold year-on-year, and the number of orders increased fivefold.

Recently, Ozon Global announced the expansion of the sales territory for Chinese sellers. Now, Chinese businesses can sell their products not only in Russia but also in the Kazakhstan market. With this new market opening, sellers can boost their revenue by tapping into the over 20 million Kazakhstani buyer group.

To simplify the logistics chain between the two countries, Ozon Global signed a cooperation agreement with China Post, agreeing to significantly reduce logistics costs for Chinese sellers, making shipping goods to Kazakhstan more cost-effective. For example, the air freight cost for a 500-gram package is 25 RMB, and the land freight cost is 18.7 RMB, averaging 15% lower than standard rates.

Approximately 26,000 sellers have automatically connected to Kazakhstani buyers, using China Post as their main shipping method. As a result, millions of Chinese sellers' products have appeared in the local display window of Ozon.kz, covering categories from clothing and footwear to home appliances and household items. Other entrepreneurs can start selling in Kazakhstan by setting this feature in their personal accounts. The average delivery time from Chinese sellers to Kazakhstani buyers is about three weeks.

Simon Huan, head of Ozon Global China, said: "China is one of Kazakhstan's largest trading partners. According to last year's statistics, the trade volume between the two countries increased by 30%, reaching $31.5 billion. Considering the growing interest of Kazakhstani buyers in Chinese products, the launch of the new logistics channel will enable Chinese businesses to rapidly develop in the Kazakhstan market, find new audiences, and significantly increase their revenue on Ozon."

At the same time, Jin Yongping, head of the international department of China Post Express Logistics Co., Ltd., said: "As the national team in China's express logistics industry, we know that Kazakhstani consumers love Chinese products. The launch of the new logistics channel will provide great development opportunities for Chinese cross-border e-commerce companies. As a logistics service provider, we solemnly promise to support cross-border e-commerce companies in achieving greater success in cross-border trade with efficient, safe, and reliable logistics services. We sincerely thank all our partners for their support and trust. China Post looks forward to working hand-in-hand with Ozon to jointly explore the cross-border e-commerce market in Kazakhstan."

The ongoing strategic cooperation between China Post and the Ozon platform strongly supports cross-border e-commerce in the China-Kazakhstan market. With the significant growth in trade volume between the two countries and the increasing demand for Chinese products in the Kazakhstan market, this cooperation will bring more development opportunities to businesses in both countries and promote further prosperity in cross-border e-commerce. The partnership between China Post and Ozon undoubtedly injects new vitality and momentum into the future development of cross-border e-commerce.
