1.SF Holdings Plans to Raise Up to $2 Billion  


On September 19, SF Holdings announced that it is applying to issue H-shares and list on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing committee has conducted a hearing on the company's application for this issuance.  

SF Holdings has successfully passed the listing hearing and is awaiting final regulatory approval. According to IFR, SF Holdings (002352.SZ) does not plan to conduct a pre-IPO roadshow immediately and plans to start the offering process in Q4, expecting to raise between $1 billion and $2 billion (about HK$7.8 billion to HK$15.6 billion). It could become the second largest IPO of the year.

2.JD Logistics Opens Malaysia Warehouse 2


On September 19, JD Logistics officially launched its second self-operated overseas warehouse in Malaysia. This warehouse, covering nearly 10,000 square meters, has obtained the U.S. LEED green building certification. JD Logistics currently operates several self-operated and collaborative warehouses in Malaysia, providing B2B and B2C warehousing and logistics services, including integrated solutions, inventory management, transportation services (sea, air, last-mile delivery, trucking), and customs clearance.

3. FedEx Announces 5.9% Rate Increase for 2025  


On September 19, FedEx announced a 5.9% increase in shipping rates for 2025, maintaining the same increase as in 2024. While this is higher than the 4.9% increase in previous years, it is lower than the 6.9% increase in 2023. This rate is an average; specific rates may vary based on service type and other factors (such as package weight and shipping distance). Additionally, extra fees and overweight charges will increase by more than 26%. Next-day air services and standard overnight air services will also see rate increases close to the 5.9% average. FedEx is emphasizing meeting the common two-day delivery commitment, which suggests that shippers might need to pay more for delivery within three days.

4. Cainiao Partners with Singapore Post


On September 19, Singapore Post signed a memorandum of understanding with Cainiao. The partnership will focus on strengthening Singapore's role as an air cargo transit hub, developing innovative postal products for China and Southeast Asia, integrating Cainiao's technology to enhance operational efficiency, and improving last-mile delivery capabilities in Singapore and other regions.

5. Amazon Europe Lowers FBA Fees


On September 19, Amazon Europe announced that starting from September 16, it will lower the domestic and pan-EU FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) delivery fees for the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. The fees for small oversized items may be reduced by up to £1.60/€1.87. The fee reduction aims to help sellers offer a broader selection of small oversized items to customers.

6. Ozon Adjusts Economic Model Rules  


On September 19, Ozon announced changes to its economic model agreement starting September 20. If the percentage of automated cancellations for quantifiable packaged orders (i.e., the number of economic orders not meeting shipping thresholds within 14 days) exceeds 20% (previously 50%), Ozon will hide the product listing. This means the conditions for accumulating quantifiable packaged orders have become stricter. The new rules also apply to inventory already delivered to Ozon warehouses. Please adjust your quantifiable packaging settings according to the new rules.

7. Dhgate Integrates Online Logistics Order Creation with China Post  


On September 19, Dhgate announced that it has fully integrated with China Post to enable online creation of all logistics orders and improve buyer-side logistics experience. Sellers can now directly place orders through the Dhgate system to China Post, retrieve tracking numbers, and input them directly.

8. "Hong Kong-Tbilisi" International Freighter Route Launched


On September 19, the "Hong Kong-Tbilisi" international freighter route was launched. Operated by Camex Airline using a B737-800F aircraft and managed by Xinjiang Commercial Logistics, the route primarily serves cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade customers in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting trade cooperation and exchange between China and Central Asia/Caucasus regions.

9. Hangzhou Airport Completes First International "Air-to-Air Transfer" of the Year  


On September 19, a batch of 27 kg cholesterol test reagents transported by Changlong Airlines arrived from Hong Kong at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. After customs clearance, the goods were transferred to a flight from Hangzhou to Almaty, Kazakhstan. This is the first international "air-to-air transfer" business conducted by Hangzhou Airport this year. "Air-to-air transfer" is a method where goods enter through existing international (regional) routes, are transferred to another transport vehicle at a domestic international airport under customs supervision, and then continue to their destination on an outbound flight.

10.OneAir Launches "Hong Kong-UK" Cargo Route


On September 19, UK cargo airline One Air added a third B747-400 freighter to its fleet to meet the growing cargo demand between Asia and Europe. The new freighter is leased from AeroTransCargo for five years and has completed its maiden flight between Hong Kong and East Midlands Airport in the UK. OneAir plans to operate daily flights on this route and has also moved its UK operations base from Heathrow to East Midlands.

11. Lufthansa Cargo Reshapes Frankfurt Hub


On September 19, Deutsche Lufthansa announced a modernization project for its large air cargo hub in Frankfurt, with an investment of up to $663 million (approximately €600 million). This move not only demonstrates Lufthansa Cargo's confidence in future development but also signals a major transformation in the air cargo industry.

12.ONE Launches New Asia-South America East Coast Container Service


On September 19, ONE announced a new service, East Coast South America Express 3 (SX3), to enhance network and connectivity between the East Coast of Asia and South America. The inaugural voyage will be conducted by the "Hyundai Vancouver," departing from Busan, South Korea, on October 6. The service will include ports in Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Santos, Paranaguá, Rio Grande, and Navegantes, returning directly to Singapore, connecting with Hong Kong, and stopping again in Busan.
