On October 28, it was reported that after Amazon Air opened its capacity to third parties, it received strong support from DHL's air freight services. During DHL’s Q3 earnings call, CEO Stefan Paul revealed that DHL’s Asian subsidiary, Apex, which focuses on e-commerce fulfillment across the Pacific and within Asia, is using Amazon’s aircraft. It is reported that Amazon announced this month that it would provide flight space to third parties and offer charter services. Amazon’s regional air transportation network operates more than 250 flights daily using its airline partners' combined fleets, with over 100 aircraft.

2.Huamao Logistics Releases Q3 Report

 

On October 28, Huamao Logistics (603128.SH) released its Q3 2024 report, showing a revenue of 14.417 billion yuan for the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 38.64%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 472 million yuan, and the net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 468 million yuan, with a basic earnings per share of 0.36 yuan. The company's latest market value is 7.8 billion yuan.

3. UPS Announces Q3 Performance

 

On October 28, UPS announced its Q3 2024 performance, reporting consolidated revenue of $22.2 billion, a 5.6% increase from Q3 2023. The consolidated operating profit was $2 billion, up 47.8% year-on-year. UPS adjusted its full-year guidance due to the sale of Coyote Logistics, now expecting full-year sales of $91.1 billion and operating profit of approximately $8.7 billion. Revenue from domestic package services in the U.S. grew by 5.8% to $14 billion, while international revenue increased by 3.4% to $4.4 billion. 4. SF Express to Become First "A+H" Listed Company in the Express Delivery Industry


On October 28, Bloomberg reported that SF Express plans a secondary listing in Hong Kong, aiming to list on November 27 and expecting to raise about $1 billion. However, the issuance timing and scale remain uncertain. If successful, it will be the second largest new stock in Hong Kong this year after Midea Group. The industry views this as a move to strengthen SF Express's position in the international capital market and provide strong financial support for its future growth and development. On October 28, Zhongchuang Logistics disclosed its Q3 2024 report. For the first three quarters, it achieved revenue of 9.152 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 69.85%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 200 million yuan, up 7.96%. The net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was 195 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.62%. Basic earnings per share were 0.58 yuan.

6.Amazon to Build New Last-Mile Delivery Center

 

On October 28, Amazon announced plans to build a new last-mile facility in Wichita Falls, Texas. The new facility will cover 125,000 square feet, located in a commercial park along Fisher Road. 6. Shopee Updates Preferred Seller Standards

 

On October 28, Shopee announced updates to preferred seller standards for all sites except Brazil. Significant changes will occur for sites in Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan, where the average preparation time (APT) metric will be replaced by the fast shipping rate (FHR) metric. Under the new standard, sellers with a fast shipping rate below 75% in the past 30 days will lose their preferred seller status. Additionally, the FHR metric will also be added to sites in Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, where sellers will similarly risk losing their preferred status if their fast shipping rate falls below 75%.

8. TikTok Shop UK Updates Seller Delivery and Performance Policies

 

On October 28, TikTok Shop UK announced updates to seller delivery and performance policies, effective November 4. The updates mainly involve clarifications to existing terms, particularly reinforcing the late dispatch rate (LDR) determination, which requires that orders are prepared for shipping within two working days of order creation. A valid tracking rate (VTR) has also been introduced, requiring over 95% of orders to have an accurate, verifiable tracking number.

9. Hong Kong Airport Cargo Volume Exceeds 3.59 Million Tons in First Three Quarters

 

On October 28, it was reported that Hong Kong Airport handled 414,000 tons of cargo in September, a 10.2% increase from 376,000 tons in September 2023. Official figures show a 3% increase in unload volume to 109,000 tons, while loaded (transshipment and export) volume increased by 13% to 305,000 tons. Over the past 12 months, the total cargo handled increased by 15.9% to 4.82 million tons, with loaded volume up 22.3% to 3.54 million tons. Cargo flight movements increased by 8.8% to 6,455 in September, and overall growth was 12.3% to 76,765 over the past year. In the first three quarters of this year, cargo volume increased by 15.7%, exceeding 3.59 million tons.

10. New Fast Release Model for Air Cargo Exports at Baiyun Airport


On October 28, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Customs announced a revision of the "Notice on the Implementation of Fast Release Mode for Air Cargo Exports at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport." Starting from November 1, 2024, air cargo exports directly shipped from Baiyun Airport will be subject to a fast release mode with prior declaration of customs clearance. The process will involve early declaration of customs clearance, cargo vehicles passing through checkpoints, cargo arriving and being quickly sorted, followed by rapid customs release.

11. Hapag-Lloyd Raises Full-Year Performance Expectations

 

On October 28, Hapag-Lloyd announced another upward revision of its full-year performance expectations and disclosed preliminary performance data for the first three quarters of 2024. According to initial unaudited data, EBITDA for the first three quarters was approximately $3.6 billion, a year-on-year decline of 20%. EBIT was approximately $1.9 billion, down 36.67%.
