On November 21, FedEx announced its 2024 holiday shipping deadlines. According to the announcement, the cutoff dates for different FedEx services are as follows:

2.UPS Announces 2024 Year-End Shipping Deadlines

 

On November 21, UPS announced its 2024 holiday shipping deadlines. According to the announcement, the cutoff dates for different UPS services are:  


- UPS Ground: Last shipping date is December 15, delivery by December 22  

- UPS 3-Day Select: Last shipping date is December 19, delivery by December 22  

- UPS 2nd Day Air: Last shipping date is December 20, delivery by December 22  

- UPS Next Day Air: Last shipping date is December 21, delivery by December 22

3.Kuehne+Nagel Launches New Freight Forwarding Service

 

On November 21, Kuehne+Nagel introduced a new freight forwarding service targeting cargo related to cloud computing. The new service will leverage the forwarder’s air logistics network and offer white-glove road transportation solutions, staffed by trained personnel to deliver sensitive and oversized servers to data centers.

4. Temu Adjusts Pricing Rules

 

On November 21, Temu officially announced significant changes to the pricing rules for its semi-managed consumer electronics campaigns in mainland China and Hong Kong. The new rules state that both supplier and selling prices will be reduced in tandem—if the supplier price drops by a certain amount, the selling price will decrease by the same amount. Temu will closely monitor abnormal product pricing, including high mark-up rates (exceeding 25%) and cases where the supplier price decreases but the selling price remains unchanged.

5. YTO, Yunda, and STO Release Latest Performance Reports

 

On November 21, YTO, Yunda, and STO, courier companies listed on the A-shares market, released their performance reports for October.  


- YTO Express reported a revenue of 5.704 billion yuan for its express products in October, up 26.94% year-on-year. The business completed 2.473 billion parcels, up 31.18%, while the revenue per parcel decreased by 3.23% to 2.31 yuan.  


- Yunda Express reported a revenue of 4.535 billion yuan for its express services in October, up 16.58% year-on-year. The business completed 2.250 billion parcels, up 31.81%, while the revenue per parcel decreased by 11.40% to 2.02 yuan.  


- STO Express reported a revenue of 4.426 billion yuan for its express services in October, up 24.86% year-on-year. The business completed 2.186 billion parcels, up 30.35%, while the revenue per parcel decreased by 3.79% to 2.03 yuan.

6.Wanb Express and ZIM Partner to Offer All-Inclusive Price Service  

 

On November 21, leading overseas warehouse company Wanb Express partnered with international freight forwarder ZIM to launch a new "One Price for the Whole Journey" service in the U.S. This service combines Wanb Express' "WF All-America One Price" for the final leg with ZIM's "ZIM Fast Line One Price" for the initial leg, simplifying cross-border logistics for sellers and making overseas shipments more efficient.

7.Amazon Announces New Fee Policy

 

On November 21, Amazon announced a series of fee policy changes for its selling partners in 2025. On one hand, there will be no increase in referral and Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) fees in the U.S., nor will there be any new fee categories. Some fees will even be reduced, and new incentives will be introduced.  

 

On the other hand, some significant changes will take effect in 2025, such as reducing large-item inbound placement fees from January 15, 2025, and introducing new options for discount incentives for qualifying sellers starting the same date. Amazon reiterated that apart from these adjustments, no other fees will change, reaffirming its commitment to providing cost-effective services to help sellers succeed on its platform.

8.Temu Becomes the Fourth Most Popular E-commerce Platform in France

 

On November 21, according to the French E-commerce Sales Federation (Fevad), Temu ranked as the fourth most popular e-commerce site in France in Q3 2024, following Amazon, LeBonCoin, and Booking.  

 

Data shows that during this period, Temu attracted an average of 18.4 million unique visitors per month, accounting for 28.7% of France's population. Its daily unique visitors also increased by 2.9 million, showing strong growth. In comparison, the fifth-ranked second-hand trading platform Vinted had an average of 17.3 million monthly visitors, but a higher daily visitor count of 4.8 million.

9.TikTok Allows Third-Party Shopping Links in Posts

 

On November 21, TikTok began testing a feature that allows select creators to add product links from third-party affiliate partners in their posts. This test supports shopping links from affiliate partners such as LTK, as well as others including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Rakuten, Temu, Impact, CJ, Expedia, Clickbank, and Flexlink.

10.Vietnam Proposes VAT on E-commerce Imports

 

On November 21, it was reported that Vietnam’s e-commerce market has grown rapidly through platforms like Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the value of imported goods through these platforms now exceeds 800 billion VND daily, with total transaction volume reaching 300 trillion VND in 2023. This is expected to continue growing in 2024. In response, the Vietnamese government is considering imposing VAT on imports through these platforms, especially for transactions valued under 1 million VND. This measure aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the e-commerce market, protect domestic businesses from competition with tax-free imports, and increase state revenue.

11."Tianshan" Macau-Dubai Cargo Airline Route Launched

 

On November 21, a B747-200F cargo aircraft flew from Macau International Airport to Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, UAE, marking the official launch of the "Tianshan" Macau-Dubai cargo airline route. The flight carried a total of 88 tons of cargo. This is the second international cargo route launched by Xinjiang Commercial Logistics Group's subsidiary, following the "Hong Kong-Tbilisi" route.

12. Etihad Airways to Add Three New Freighters

 

On November 21, Etihad Airways confirmed that it would exercise its options to purchase three additional next-generation Airbus A350 freighters, bringing its total order to 10 aircraft. The airline's board approved the purchase of the A350Fs earlier this month, although final delivery terms are still under negotiation. Over the next five years, Etihad's freighter fleet will expand from five to 15 aircraft.  

 

Airbus stated that commercial deliveries of the new planes are expected to begin in 2026, as the aircraft is still in final development and testing. Etihad may receive its first A350F in 2026 or 2027.
