1. DHL Increases Investment in China’s Logistics Sector


On January 23,
 DHL CEO Matthias Böhmer stated in an interview with China News Agency that the company will continue to increase its investment in the Chinese market. Despite the complex and changing global trade environment, Böhmer emphasized that China's manufacturing sector remains unique. China is one of DHL's fastest-growing logistics markets globally and is crucial to the group's global strategy.


DHL recently released its 2030 strategy, with new plans for its development in China. According to Böhmer, the company's future investments in China will focus on: expanding logistics infrastructure, upgrading its express network and air cargo fleet, and continuing to collaborate with local partners to expand contract logistics and warehousing operations. He emphasized that China is a key part of DHL's global network, with strong exports and close trade relations with emerging markets such as the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, as well as a booming international e-commerce sector, all indicating the vast potential of China’s logistics market.

2. Logistics Company Updates IPO Filing


On January 23,
Tiancheng Zhilian announced plans to offer 1.6 million shares at a price of $4 to $5 per share, aiming to raise between $6.4 million and $8 million. Headquartered in Hangzhou, Tiancheng Zhilian provides domestic and international transportation, warehousing, urban distribution, and international freight forwarding services. For the six months ending September 30, 2024, the company reported revenues of $21.27 million, up from $20.17 million in the same period last year, with net profits of $540,000 and $520,000, respectively.

3. Guo Huo Hang Expects 2024 Net Profit to Reach 1.8-1.99 Billion RMB


On January 23,
Guo Huo Hang released its 2024 earnings forecast, expecting a net profit attributable to shareholders of 1.8 to 1.99 billion RMB, an increase of 56%-73% compared to the previous year.

4. Shenzhen Airport Achieves Record Cargo and Mail Throughput

 Shenzhen Airport announced its achievements for the year. The airport reached a passenger throughput of 61.48 million, cargo and mail throughput of 188,100 tons, and 428,000 aircraft movements, all setting new records. The airport also hit new highs in daily passenger flow, daily flight movements, and the total number of cargo destinations, reflecting the steady and positive economic development of Shenzhen.

5. DPD Plans New Cooperation


On January 23,
Japan Post visited DPD China, and the two sides held in-depth discussions on the promotion of the new Japanese postal product, Yu Pack. Several potential customers, including 4px, Tongyou, Nichikan, and DPD China, participated in the discussions, exploring the potential of Yu Pack in cross-border logistics. Japan Post highly praised DPD China's warehousing and logistics operation systems, and they reached a preliminary agreement to use DPD China’s efficient warehouse network across northern, eastern, and southern China, including cities like Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Shanghai, Yiwu, and Beijing, to fulfill the Yu Pack project.

12. Zhongda Men International Logistics Group Launches New All-Cargo Route


On January 23,
an all-cargo flight operated by Azerbaijan’s Silk Road West Airlines took off from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, carrying approximately 90 tons of cross-border e-commerce goods. The flight will first land at Baku's Heydar Aliyev International Airport before heading to Liège, Belgium, to provide fast delivery services to European consumers. This marks the official launch of Zhongda Men International Logistics Group’s new cross-border e-commerce all-cargo route from Zhengzhou to Baku to Liège.
