2. UPS 2024 Full-Year Revenue Reaches $91.1 Billion


On February 6, UPS announced its 2024 Q4 total revenue of $25.3 billion, a 1.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The operating profit for Q4 was $2.9 billion, an 18.1% increase, while the adjusted operating profit grew by 11.2% year-over-year. The total revenue for the full year 2024 was $91.1 billion, with operating profit at $8.5 billion and adjusted operating profit at $8.9 billion. The operating margin was 9.3%, and the adjusted operating margin was 9.8%. Diluted earnings per share amounted to $6.75.

3. USPS Continues to Accept Inbound Packages from China


On February 6, the United States Postal Service (USPS) announced that it will continue to accept all international inbound mail and packages from mainland China and Hong Kong starting February 5. USPS is closely cooperating with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to implement a new, efficient mechanism for collecting China tariffs to ensure minimal disruption to package deliveries. Earlier, on February 4, USPS had announced it would temporarily suspend the acceptance of inbound packages from mainland China and Hong Kong until further notice. However, letters from these regions were not affected.

4. The State Taxation Administration Supports the Development of Cross-Border E-Commerce Export Overseas Warehouses


On February 6, the State Taxation Administration issued a notice to implement "tax refunds upon departure" for goods exported through cross-border e-commerce overseas warehouses (Customs supervision code “9810”). Taxpayers exporting goods through overseas warehouses can apply for export tax refunds (or exemptions) after the goods leave the country, using export customs declarations and related documents. Subsequent tax calculations will be based on the sales of the goods.

5. TEMU Accepts Japanese Sellers


On February 6, TEMU announced that it will now accept sellers from Japan, further advancing its localized operations. Initially, only merchants with inventory in Japan will be allowed to join, and the admission will be by invitation. 9. China Cargo Airlines Launches New Freighter Route


On February 6, CA3159 flight, carrying dozens of tons of cargo, took off from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and flew 7,940 kilometers to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in over 9 hours. This marks the official launch of China Cargo Airlines’ Chengdu-Amsterdam freighter route in 2025. The route is the fourth A330F freighter to be put into operation by the airline, further expanding its network.

10. Chengdu-Amsterdam Cargo Route Opened
