 it was reported that USPS plans to further expand the scope of its non-standard fees starting in July, covering more types of packages. According to USPS’s report, these changes will apply to a range of services, including Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, USPS Connect Local, and Parcel Select. USPS stated that this move aims to better manage package transportation costs and improve service quality.

2DHL Terminates Contract with SmartLynx Airlines


On February 14,
DHL Express announced that it has terminated its contract with SmartLynx Airlines, which previously provided air transport services for its European parcel network. SmartLynx Airlines is a provider of outsourced airlift for commercial airlines and other customers, offering aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance, with clients responsible for filling their aircraft with cargo or passengers.


In a statement provided to FreightWaves, DHL said: “DHL operates a fixed, integrated air express network to provide capacity and delivery within short timeframes, such as overnight delivery. We use various types and sizes of aircraft to find the best service level for customers and remain flexible in managing volume fluctuations. In this case, we continuously review third-party provider deployments as well as our own capacity (e.g., in long-haul operations).”

3LEGA Major Shareholder Plans to Buy Back Shares

LEGA announced that its major shareholder, Ningbo Lijing Electronics Group Co., Ltd., plans to buy back shares of the company through a centralized bidding process within six months from the announcement date. The total amount of the buyback will be no less than 50 million RMB and no more than 100 million RMB.

5Amazon Germany Market Revenue Tops in 2024

it was reported that Amazon’s e-commerce market growth in Germany and the UK in 2024 surpassed the overall market performance. In Germany, Amazon’s revenue reached 39.6 billion EUR, up 8.7% year-on-year; in the UK, revenue was 36.7 billion EUR, growing by 12.7%. Despite fierce competition from Chinese e-commerce platforms, Amazon’s momentum remains strong in these two markets. The data shows that Germany remains Amazon’s largest international market, contributing 6.4% of its total revenue, approximately 40.9 billion USD. Although growth in Germany slowed (11.9% in 2023), Amazon still outpaced the overall e-commerce market growth.

6Lazada to Use Delivery Lockers for Shipping


On February 14,
it was reported that Singapore plans to install 150 delivery lockers by 2027, with 19 new lockers already in use. Lazada has expanded its partnership with locker operator Pick Network, starting in March, to offer these lockers as a shipping option. Residents can conveniently pick up or return parcels at any time, without needing to reschedule missed deliveries or wait for others to pick up returned parcels. Pick Network’s CEO, New Soon Tee, stated that this provides Lazada shoppers with more options, especially for those concerned about parcel security, as the lockers are a “convenient and secure” choice. Pick Network currently operates 1,029 lockers in Singapore.

7Tokopedia and Shop Tokopedia Integration


On February 14,
 it was reported that TikTok and Tokopedia have advanced their integration, with Shop Tokopedia store content now automatically appearing on the Tokopedia platform, and vice versa. Aditia Grasio Nelwan, the PR head for Tokopedia and TikTok e-commerce, revealed that this is a key initiative in their ongoing collaboration, aimed at strengthening the synergy between seller centers. Aditia mentioned: “With this integration, sellers can gradually sell products on both Tokopedia and Shop Tokopedia platforms simultaneously without frequently switching interfaces.” Post-integration, sellers will not only be able to manage both stores easily but also have their products automatically synced, significantly increasing exposure and driving sales, with product numbers, ratings, and reviews synchronized in real-time.
