1. Huamao Logistics Establishes New International Logistics Company


On February 20, Huamao International Logistics (Yinchuan) Co., Ltd. was established. The legal representative is Yin Renda, with a registered capital of 5 million RMB. The business scope includes: domestic container cargo transport agency; international air cargo transport agency; cargo packaging services; import and export of goods, etc. According to data from Qichacha, the company is fully owned by Huamao Logistics.

2. UPS Enhances Services in South China  


On February 20, UPS announced improvements to its services in the South China region. In Zhongshan and Zhuhai, UPS has extended the cut-off times for same-day pickup and export to the U.S. for low-value parcels. In Zhongshan’s 17 postal codes, the pickup cut-off time can be extended by up to 1.5 hours, with the latest possible time being 2:00 PM; in Zhuhai’s 27 postal codes, the extension is also up to 1.5 hours, with the latest pickup time being 1:00 PM.

3. TikTok E-commerce Aims for 400% Growth in the U.S. This Year  


On February 20, it was reported by Jiemian News that before the shutdown controversy, TikTok E-commerce had set a target to achieve 400% growth in the U.S. this year. A person close to TikTok E-commerce revealed that internal confidence in meeting this growth goal is very high.  


A Chinese merchant operating on TikTok E-commerce also expressed optimism, comparing TikTok’s current U.S. development to Douyin E-commerce in China around 2020. Small and medium-sized merchants are reportedly able to handle around 1,000 orders per day. However, the consumption habits of U.S. users differ significantly from those of Chinese users.

4. TEMU Increases Deposits for Semi-Managed Merchants to 70,000 RMB  


On February 20, TEMU introduced a new policy to ensure product compliance for its German site. For semi-managed stores selling CE-certified products, the deposit has been increased to 5,000 euros. Based on a merchant’s historical GMV, some merchants have received notifications that their deposit has been raised to 30,000 euros, totaling 70,000 RMB (including the 5,000 euros for CE-certified products).

5. Amazon Tops the Global E-commerce Companies List  


On February 20, it was reported that Amazon ranked first among the global top 250 e-commerce companies with $802 billion in e-commerce revenue for 2024. Among these top 250 companies, 80 are from the U.S., the largest share. European countries collectively account for 95 companies, surpassing the U.S., with Germany having 22, France, the UK, and China each having 17. While China has fewer companies on the list, those listed are large in scale, such as Alibaba and Pinduoduo, contributing to China’s $1.8 trillion e-commerce revenue in 2023, far exceeding the U.S.'s $964 billion.

6. AliExpress Expands Korea-Facing Warehouse by 60,000 sqm  


On February 20, AliExpress announced plans to expand its Korea-facing warehouse in Weihai, Shandong, by 60,000 square meters to accommodate the growing consumer orders from South Korea. This is AliExpress’s largest warehouse in North China. This expansion enhances the company’s ability to provide logistics services in Korea, offering delivery times of 3-5 days, helping Chinese merchants in Korea compete more effectively with local e-commerce businesses.

7. TikTok Shop U.S. Sales Surge Against the Trend 


On February 20, TikTok Shop’s sales in the U.S. continued to grow rapidly. According to Bloomberg, TikTok Shop’s sales grew 153% in January 2025 compared to the previous year, outpacing Shein and Temu’s growth rates of 26% and 28%, respectively. Data shows that TikTok Shop captured a larger market share from Shein than from Temu, especially for transactions over $25, where its market share grew by 16 percentage points year-on-year.

8. Alibaba International Station Announces 8 New Support Measures for New Exporting Merchants  


On February 20, Alibaba International Station launched eight new measures to support new exporting merchants, aimed at helping businesses access B2B markets by investing in new markets, simplifying operations, ensuring business outcomes, and reducing service fees. This initiative is known internally as the “Eight Steps to Go Abroad” plan.

9. Global E-commerce Market to Reach $11 Trillion by 2028


On February 20, GlobalData reported that the global e-commerce market is expected to reach $11 trillion by 2028, driven by technological advancements, improved delivery services, and higher internet penetration. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2023 to 2028 is projected to be 11.1%. China and the U.S. together account for 33% and 30% of the market share, respectively.

10. Ozon Opens New Markets for Chinese Sellers, Including Armenia  


On February 20, Ozon announced that it has expanded its sales region for Chinese sellers to include Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan, in addition to Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. With the opening of these new markets, Chinese sellers are expected to see significant increases in revenue and customer base.

11. Zhengzhou Airport International Cargo Volume Up 36%  


On February 20, Zhengzhou Airport reported that its international cargo volume has increased by 36.07% compared to last year, with a total of 5.86 million tons of international cargo processed. The airport has also added six new international cargo routes this year.

12.ONE Launches "Vietnam-China Express"


On February 20, Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced that it plans to launch its “Vietnam-China Express” (VCX) service in mid-April. The service will operate weekly, with ports of call in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Haiphong (Vietnam), Nansha (China), Hong Kong, and Ho Chi Minh City again. The service will offer a 14-day round trip.
