1. Maersk's third-quarter revenue of $12.1 billion meets expectations

 

On November 6th, Maersk released its financial report, indicating that the company's performance in the third quarter of 2023 met expectations. 2. Ezhou Huahu Airport launches international express service

 

On November 6th, the first batch of approximately 700 kilograms of outbound express parcels cleared customs inspection at Ezhou Customs under Wuhan Customs on November 3rd and was smoothly cleared for departure. They were then transported on flight O37099 to Liège, Belgium, becoming the first international express parcels handled at Ezhou Huahu Airport since the commencement of operations at the Shunfeng Transfer Center. This marks the official launch of international express services at Ezhou Huahu Airport.

 

Reportedly, the Shunfeng Transfer Center at Ezhou Huahu Airport covers an area of 750,000 square meters, with sorting lines stretching up to 52 kilometers and a processing capacity of 280,000 items per hour. It is the largest express sorting center in Asia, with its international express center covering an area of 27,000 square meters, equipped with 14 intelligent customs inspection lines and a fully automated express sorting system.

3. Guangzhou Baiyun Airport opens four new international cargo routes

 

On November 6th, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport witnessed a surge in the opening of international cargo routes, with four new international cargo routes launched consecutively. On November 2nd, China International Cargo Airlines opened the "Guangzhou = Madrid" cargo route and is scheduled to open the "Guangzhou = Milan" cargo route on November 8th. On the same day, YTO Cargo Airlines also opened the "Guangzhou = Lahore" cargo route. On November 4th, Lufthansa Cargo also followed suit by opening the "Leipzig = Guangzhou = Cincinnati" route.

 

This move adds four new regular cargo routes and 16 international cargo flights per week at Baiyun Airport, with an expected weekly capacity of over 1,400 tons of air freight. 4. Zhengzhou's First Charter Flight to the UK Sets Sail

 

On November 6th, a full freighter operated by Titan Airways of the UK, loaded with 61 tons of cargo, took off from Zhengzhou Airport bound for Birmingham, UK. This marks the first cross-border e-commerce charter flight from Zhengzhou Airport to the UK this year.

 

The 61 tons of cargo transported were all cross-border e-commerce parcels exported to the UK, including clothing, household items, and more. The charter flights from Zhengzhou to the UK are scheduled to operate three times a week, broadening the air transport channel for people's livelihood goods between China and the UK.

5. Etsy Announces Partnership with UPS, Offering Up to 78% Discounts for Sellers

 

On November 6th, the US e-commerce platform Etsy announced a partnership with UPS to provide shipping discounts and a convenient shipping experience for sellers. Specific policies are as follows: The pickup service fee generated by inventory stocking will be shared equally between the platform and the merchant, each bearing 50%. The return service fee generated by returns will be fully borne by the merchant. Reference prices for pickup service fees and return service fees can be viewed directly when placing orders using platform logistics functions through the shipment platform and return management module in the TikTok Shop fully managed seller center. 7. Shopee Opens New Distribution Center in Brazil

 

On November 6th, Shopee announced that the company has opened its second-largest distribution center in Guarulhos, near São Paulo, Brazil. Currently, Shopee has over 3 million local merchants in the country, accounting for over 90% of Shopee's sales in Brazil.
