On December 8th, Kerry Logistics and SF Group convened the first board meeting of their joint venture company, Ezhou SunKerry Aviation Ground Services Co., Ltd. (referred to as "SunKerry Aviation Services") in Ezhou, Hubei Province, in 2023. The meeting aimed to review the business performance of the year and discuss in-depth the company's operating plans for the following year.

Ezhou Airport is an important freight and passenger airport invested and constructed by SF Group. Ezhou International Cargo Station mainly undertakes the ground support work for international cargo flights at Ezhou Hua Lake Airport. In order to further develop this business, SF Group reached an agreement with Kerry Logistics to jointly establish SunKerry Aviation Services, with Kerry Logistics holding a 51% stake. SunKerry Aviation Services officially took over the operation of the SF International Cargo Station at Ezhou Hua Lake Airport in November 2023.

2. Lufthansa Cargo adds fourth A321F.

On December 8th, Lufthansa Cargo received its fourth A321F and integrated it into its short and medium-haul cargo network as part of its capacity expansion plan. Since November, this freighter has been operating in the network of Lotus Air Cargo and has already completed its maiden flights to destinations including Istanbul, Helsinki, Stockholm, Birmingham, Dublin, Casablanca, Copenhagen, and Madrid. 3. Beijing Daxing International Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone launches cross-border e-commerce direct mail export mode.

On December 8th, Beijing Daxing International Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone officially launched the cross-border trade e-commerce direct mail export mode. Taking the example of domestic goods sold to Chicago, USA, in the future, they can be directly mailed from Daxing Airport, bypassing international warehouses in countries such as South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, shortening the transportation time from 9 days to 4 days.

Inside the cross-border trade logistics center of Daxing Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, a brand-new cross-border warehouse covering an area of 10,000 square meters has been put into use. All customs inspection facilities and equipment are in operation. Large trucks align with the entrance of the cross-border warehouse, and forklifts transport the goods out in batches. After passing through security checks, customs declaration, and inspection, these goods can be loaded onto planes and sent to overseas markets.

4. China Post opens multiple postal routes to Russia.

On December 8th, it was announced that since October this year, China Post has opened three postal routes to Russia from the border town of Hunchun in Jilin Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. These routes include the Hunchun-Russia Vladivostok (Vladivostok) and Hunchun-Russia Novosibirsk railway routes, as well as the Hunchun-Russia Yekaterinburg highway route. Limited by local cross-border e-commerce logistics companies not accepting low-priced products, the opening of the new postal routes has widened market options for many enterprises.

So far, a total of 177,600 cross-border e-commerce postal items have been sent from Hunchun to Russia by land and rail, providing a new international logistics path for cross-border e-commerce enterprises and merchants to sell goods to all parts of Russia. 7. General Administration of Customs: China's imports and exports grew by 1.2% year-on-year in November.

On December 8th, the General Administration of Customs released the "report card" of China's imports and exports for the first 11 months of the year. According to customs statistics, China's total imports and exports amounted to 37.96 trillion yuan in the first 11 months of this year, unchanged from the same period last year. Among them, exports amounted to 21.6 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.3%.

In terms of US dollars, China's total imports and exports amounted to $5.41 trillion in the first 11 months of this year, a decrease of 5.6%. Among them, exports amounted to $3.08 trillion, a decrease of 5.2%. Looking at monthly data, in November, China's total imports and exports amounted to 3.7 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.2%. 8. FedEx South China Operations Center officially commences operations.

On December 8th, FedEx signed a memorandum of understanding with the Guangdong Airport Management Group Co., Ltd. According to the memorandum, the two parties will conduct comprehensive cooperation on improving airport operation efficiency, accelerating project construction, and expanding investment matters, jointly promoting FedEx's strategic layout and business development at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

After the signing ceremony, the groundbreaking ceremony for the FedEx South China Operations Center was held at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The center is expected to be put into use in 2027, aiming to upgrade and expand the current Guangzhou Port Operations Center and effectively enhance FedEx's handling capacity and operational efficiency for South China's import and export goods. After completion, the South China Operations Center will cover an area of over 41,000 square meters and is expected to sort up to 25,000 import and export parcels and documents per hour, triple the sorting efficiency of the existing Guangzhou Port Operations Center.
