1. **MSC Plans to Acquire Renowned French Freight Forwarder**


   On December 7th, it was announced that Yves REVOL and OLYMP, the controlling shareholders of the renowned French freight forwarding agent CLASQUIN SA, have entered into exclusive negotiations with SAS Shipping Agencies Services Sàrl (a subsidiary of MSC) to sell all their shares, accounting for 42% of CLASQUIN's equity.


   CLASQUIN, a Paris-listed expert in air and sea freight forwarding logistics, caters to clients in the Asia-Pacific region, North America, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa, providing 40 years of mature and reliable comprehensive logistics solutions. CLASQUIN has been present in the Greater China region since 1983, with branches in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Qingdao, and elsewhere. As of now, CLASQUIN has offices in 25 countries globally, with over 1600 employees. MSC has valued the company at €325 million (approximately $351 million).

2. **FedEx: Temporary Suspension of International Economy Service from Mainland China to Europe**


   On December 7th, FedEx announced that due to the surge in seasonal freight volume, cargo space from mainland China to European destination countries/regions is becoming increasingly tight. To provide the desired service level to customers, FedEx will temporarily suspend its international economy services from mainland China to Europe effective December 8th, 2023, until further notice. However, customers can still use FedEx International Priority Service to ship goods to Europe. FedEx's international economy services include FedEx International Economy Express Service, FedEx International Economy Express Heavyweight Service, and FedEx International Economy Express Distribution Service.

3. **YTO Express Establishes New Company in Shenzhen**


   On December 7th, according to Tianyancha data, YTO Express Co., Ltd. has established Shenzhen YTO Express Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 3 million yuan. Zhou Qingmiao serves as the legal representative. The scope of business includes loading and unloading, domestic freight forwarding agency, international freight forwarding agency, import and export of goods, customs declaration services, etc. The shareholder information shows that the company is wholly-owned by YTO Express Co., Ltd.

4. **Cainiao Launches First Shenzhen to Mexico City Cargo Charter Flight**


   On December 7th, Cainiao, in collaboration with AliExpress, officially launched the Shenzhen-Mexico City e-commerce charter flight. This marks the first cargo flight from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport to Mexico. It is also Cainiao's first international express charter from China to Mexico, aimed at accommodating the surge in orders from the AliExpress platform in Mexico. The flight lands with minimal waiting time for cargo handling, allowing for unloading, pickup, and pallet dismantling within 6 hours, and customs clearance within 24 hours. Cross-border parcels can be delivered to Mexican consumers in as fast as 10 days.

5. **Amazon Announces Logistics Fee and Sales Commission Adjustments for 2024**


   On December 7th, Amazon Global Store announced a series of fee changes for 2024, including adjustments to logistics fees and sales commissions to promote sales. After implementing these changes, Amazon expects the average cost per item sold to increase by $0.15 (significantly lower than the price increases announced by other logistics providers). However, Amazon also anticipates many sellers paying lower average fees per item sold to Amazon. On average, Amazon's delivery fees will remain 70% cheaper compared to next-day delivery services from other major third-party logistics providers.


   Specifically, Amazon will reduce the sales commission for clothing products, provide an average 10% sales commission rebate for new Amazon Logistics-selected products, offer lower Vine program fees, and introduce more fee adjustments and benefits, such as efficient warehousing distribution, reduced non-peak season warehousing fees, and lower delivery costs.

6. **Ozon Introduces New Ural Logistics Service**


   On December 7th, Ozon announced the addition of Ural logistics services to further meet the diverse logistics needs of sellers. With three flights per week, the logistics service has a transit time of 13-18 days (from Dongguan to Moscow Rocket warehouse). It can handle general cargo, electronic products, and sensitive items.

7. **China Southern Airlines Cargo Launches Cross-border E-commerce 9610 Cargo Air Transit Export Service**


   On December 7th, China Southern Airlines flight CZ8858 carried approximately 100 kg of cross-border e-commerce transit cargo from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to Osaka Kansai International Airport via a stopover at Beijing Daxing International Airport. This marks the launch of the first cross-border e-commerce 9610 (customs cross-border e-commerce supervision code) cargo air transit export service from Hangzhou to Beijing Daxing, allowing cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Hangzhou and its surrounding areas to directly connect to Beijing Daxing and other airports through a "sky corridor," thereby radiating their cross-border e-commerce logistics network globally.

8. **Tianjin Cargo Airlines Opens Nanning-Clark International Freight Route**


   On December 7th, a B737 freighter operated by Tianjin Cargo Airlines, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines, departed from Nanning Wuxu International Airport carrying daily necessities and e-commerce goods, destined for Clark International Airport in the Philippines. This marks the official opening of Tianjin Cargo Airlines' international freight route from Nanning to Clark.


   Currently, Tianjin Cargo Airlines has deployed two B737-800F aircraft at its Nanning base. Since May 2021, Tianjin Cargo Airlines has successively opened international freight routes from Nanning to Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Dhaka, Yangon, Manila, and other destinations, gradually establishing an aviation logistics transfer platform for ASEAN member states.

9. **Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport: Cargo Throughput Reaches 200,700 Tons in November, Up by 51.09% Year-on-Year**


   On December 7th, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Co., Ltd. announced that in November, the passenger throughput was 5.4226 million, an increase of 1115.47% year-on-year; the cargo throughput was 200,700 tons, an increase of 51.09% year-on-year.
