On May 27, Yuntu Logistics officially put its East China hub into operation after a month-long trial run. This hub primarily handles the collection, distribution, and transfer needs of goods in the East China region, while also providing Yunfulfillment one-piece shipping services. On May 27, Alibaba Group's 2024 fiscal year report revealed that, as of March 31, 2024, Cainiao's average daily cross-border parcel volume exceeded 5 million. This scale surpasses that of leading global logistics companies, highlighting Cainiao's leading position in building a new generation of global intelligent logistics networks.

 

In the 2024 fiscal year, Cainiao's revenue reached 99.02 billion yuan, up 28% year-on-year, leading the logistics industry in growth, mainly driven by cross-border business. On May 27, Cainiao and Taobao Tmall Hong Kong announced that, starting from May 24, residential surcharge fees will no longer be charged for home delivery services across Hong Kong. On May 27, a Boeing 767 freighter carrying 44.1 tons of cross-border e-commerce goods took off from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to Vancouver, marking the official launch of Zhejiang's first regular cargo route to Canada. This is the sixth all-cargo route between Hangzhou and North America, following routes to New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Mexico City.

 

The "Hangzhou-Vancouver" route will operate three flights per week, primarily serving comprehensive e-commerce platforms such as Pinduoduo, AliExpress, and SHEIN, with final deliveries covering major Canadian cities like Vancouver and Toronto, offering "end-to-end" and "door-to-door" air logistics services. According to Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport Customs, from January to April this year, the international cargo volume at Hangzhou Airport Port reached 71,400 tons, up nearly 63% year-on-year, ranking sixth nationwide. Cross-border e-commerce export cargo volume reached 33,900 tons, accounting for 60% of total export volume, an 80.69% year-on-year increase.

On May 27, it was reported that from January to April this year, Wuxi Airport handled a total cargo and mail throughput of 49,900 tons, a 24% increase over the same period last year.
