1.SHEIN Supply Chain Project Phase One Begins Construction  

 

On September 30, it was reported that SHEIN's Bay Area supply chain project in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, officially commenced its first phase of construction. The investment in the first phase is 3.69 billion yuan, with a total construction area of no less than 800,000 square meters, including facilities for warehousing, shipping, and order fulfillment operations. The total investment in the project is estimated to be 10 billion yuan, and once all three phases are completed, annual export volume from Zengcheng is expected to exceed 100 billion yuan, with up to 100,000 industry talents employed at peak times.

2.An International Logistics Company Plans to IPO in the U.S.

 

On September 30, it was reported that Ningbo-based cold chain logistics company HAOXIN HOLDINGS LIMITED (referred to as "Haoxin International Logistics") has submitted an updated prospectus to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), applying for an IPO on Nasdaq under the ticker "HXHX". The company plans to issue 2 million Class A shares at a price of $4 to $6 per share (each Class A share has 1 voting right, while each Class B share has 20 voting rights), aiming to raise $8 million to $12 million. Previously, Haoxin International planned to issue 3 million shares at the same price. The company added an underwriter, bringing on Craft Capital Management, LLC in addition to WestPark Capital, Inc.

3.Temu to Launch New Semi-Managed Business Sites

 

On September 30, it was reported that Temu's semi-managed business is about to launch a site in Mexico. Temu will initially support only CN-based companies, while local companies are still to be confirmed. The expected launch date is October 18, with sellers to begin listing products on October 11.

4. JD Logistics Stock Up Over 16%

 

On September 30, it was reported that courier stocks surged collectively on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on the 27th! JD Logistics rose 16.52%, with a total market value of HK$88.789 billion. On the same day, J&T Express also rose by 6%, with a market value of HK$61.308 billion, and ZTO Express increased by 3.45%, with a total market value of HK$151.7 billion.

 

In addition, A-share courier stocks also saw a collective rise. On September 30, according to a report by Citibank, Temu ranked first in app downloads in Brazil in August, with 7.2 million downloads, almost equal to Magazine Luiza's monthly active user count. On September 30, J&T Group's Vice President Hou Junyi emphasized that localization is key to the company's continued success in its international expansion. J&T's express business covers 13 countries, spanning Southeast Asia, China, and regions in the Middle East and Latin America. 7.Civil Aviation Administration of China Releases August Domestic Cargo and Mail Volume Data

 

On September 30, the Civil Aviation Administration of China released the "Civil Aviation of China Main Production Indicators for August 2024". In August, domestic cargo and mail transport volume reached 764,000 tons, an increase of 20.1% year-over-year. From January to August, the total was 5.689 million tons, up 26.0%. International routes accounted for 41.9% in August and 40.2% from January to August, indicating an upward trend. In terms of airport cargo and mail throughput, August's total was 1.677 million tons, an increase of 16.0% year-over-year, while the January-August total reached 12.745 million tons, a growth of 22.3%. The central region showed the most significant growth, exceeding 60% for both sets of data, largely contributed by increases at Ezhou and Zhengzhou airports.

8.Jinan Opens Its First Fifth Freedom Cargo Route

 

On September 30, it was reported that ASL Airlines Belgium's flight 3V811 smoothly landed at Jinan Airport, passing through a "water salute", marking the official operation of the "Jinan-New York-Liege-Jinan" global route. This is also ASL Airlines Belgium's 1000th intercontinental cargo flight in Jinan. This route is Jinan's first using the fifth freedom rights to operate an international flight, as well as Shandong Province's first intercontinental flight route. The route is scheduled to operate twice weekly with Boeing 747 aircraft, carrying mainly e-commerce and fresh goods, with a load capacity of about 190 tons per flight.

9.Sichuan Airlines Launches a New All-Cargo Route

 

On September 30, Sichuan Airlines' "Tianfu-Helsinki-Frankfurt-Tianfu" all-cargo route departed on time from Tianfu Airport, fully loaded with 55 tons of cargo, with the return flight scheduled to arrive the next morning. The route is operated by Sichuan Airlines' Airbus A330 freighter. The Frankfurt route is Sichuan Airlines' sixth European destination after Brussels, Moscow, Helsinki, Budapest, and Warsaw, and the first Chinese airline from southwest China to operate a round-trip freighter route to Frankfurt.

12.ZIM Introduces New ZCP Service Line

 

On September 30, the South Carolina Ports Authority (SC Ports) announced the reopening of the Leatherman Terminal in anticipation of Israeli shipping carrier ZIM launching its weekly Asia line ZCP service. The reopening is a milestone in enhancing capacity and fluidity in the U.S. East Coast port market.
