1.EU Requests Information from TEMU
On October 14, it was reported that the European Commission has issued an information request to the shopping platform TEMU under the Digital Services Act (DSA), demanding information on the platform’s measures to prevent the sale of illegal products.
According to the European Commission's statement, the Commission sent a Request for Information (RFI) to TEMU, asking for detailed information and internal documents on the measures they are taking to combat the sale of illegal products on their platform and the actions they take when such sellers become active again. TEMU must submit the required information by October 21, 2024. The Commission will decide the next steps after evaluating TEMU's response.

2.Eastern Airlines Logistics Completes Three Large Transactions

3.AliExpress, TEMU, and SHEIN Rank in the Top 10 of European Platforms
On October 14, CBCommerce.eu released the "Top 100 Cross-Border Markets in Europe" report, showing that the European cross-border e-commerce market is growing rapidly and is expected to reach 326 billion euros by the end of 2024. 6. YTO Express Sees Over 100% Growth in China-Kazakhstan Business
On October 14, it was reported that YTO Express's China-Kazakhstan cross-border logistics business, which was launched in June this year, has seen over 100% growth after nearly three months of operation. This business is a collaboration between YTO Express and Kazakhstan's national postal service, meeting the growing needs of cross-border e-commerce. With upgraded services, the delivery time for China-Kazakhstan cross-border e-commerce logistics has been reduced from 20-30 days to less than 10 days, with the fastest delivery from China to Almaty taking just seven days. As of June, the Alashankou cross-border e-commerce zone in Xinjiang had exported 12.24 million parcels this year, and YTO's daily cross-border business volume has reached nearly 20,000 parcels.

7.Amazon to Open New Logistics Center in Australia
On October 14, it was announced that Amazon will invest more than $7 million to open a new logistics center in Ravenhall, Victoria, Australia. The center will cover 8,800 square meters and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. 8.Amazon Launches Same-Day Delivery Integration

9.Lazada to Adjust End-Shipping Fees in Multiple Countries
On October 14, Lazada announced that it will adjust the end-shipping fees for cross-border stores on the Singapore, Thailand, and Global Plus Malaysia platforms, effective for orders created after October 18, 2024, 12:00 AM. In Singapore, the standard shipping fee (Singapore Domestic Standard) will increase from 1 SGD to 1.49 SGD, while the economy shipping fee (Singapore Domestic Economy) remains unchanged. The adjustments will apply to orders fulfilled from mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea to the Singapore platform, as well as orders from Singapore overseas warehouses.
For Thailand, the Remote shipping fees for various weight ranges in the Economy/Standard categories (Thailand Domestic Economy/Standard) will increase by 50 THB.
In Malaysia, the end-shipping fees in various weight ranges under the Global Plus project will be reduced by more than 32%.

11. "Chengdu-Bangkok" International Freight Route Launched
On October 14, it was reported that a Boeing 757 cargo plane carrying communication equipment, auto parts, and cross-border e-commerce parcels made in Sichuan, China, took off from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and headed to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand. The plane returned to Chengdu that afternoon. This is another regular international cargo route operated by Lu Hai Cloud Port – Yun Port Aviation Logistics.
The "Chengdu (Shuangliu) = Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)" route uses a Boeing 757 model, operating three times a week with a cargo capacity of 56 tons per round trip. Outbound cargo mainly consists of machinery parts and electronic products made in Sichuan, as well as cross-border e-commerce goods. Inbound cargo mainly includes fresh fruits and seafood. With the "green channel" mechanism at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport customs, inbound cargo can be cleared in as little as 1.5 hours and quickly delivered to various regions inside and outside Sichuan.

12. Delta Air Cargo Revenue Grows 27% in Q3 2024
On October 14, it was reported that Delta Air Lines saw a 27% increase in cargo revenue in the third quarter of 2024, reaching $196 million, compared to $154 million in the third quarter of 2023. In the first nine months of this fiscal year, Delta’s cargo revenue grew by 7% to $574 million, up from $535 million during the same period last year.
