1. JD Expands International Express Services to 11 More Asian Countries

 

On November 4, JD International Express announced the expansion of its services to 11 more Asian countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. Consumers in these countries can now receive international deliveries from JD. Over the past month, JD Logistics has also launched express delivery services to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries. With its continuous business expansion, JD International Express now serves nearly 50 key countries and regions worldwide.

2. TEMU Tops Brazil's September Download Charts

 

On November 4, it was reported that TEMU's active users grew by 31% in September. With 5.8 million downloads, TEMU topped the download charts in Brazil, far surpassing competitors like Shopee and Mercado Libre, which had 2.5 million downloads each. Considering that TEMU has only been operating in Brazil for four months, this achievement is remarkable, contrasting sharply with the industry’s average download decline of 19%.

3. Amazon to Expand Charter Business

 

On November 4, it was reported that Amazon is in discussions with Sun Country Airlines to expand their air cargo partnership. Sun Country currently operates 12 Boeing 737-800 converted freighters in Amazon’s domestic air network, supporting next-day and two-day deliveries. Amazon leases these aircraft to Sun Country for operation.

 

Amazon plans to use its narrow-body aircraft fleet for charter business and has recently introduced a profitable line of business that sells excess cargo capacity to third-party logistics (3PL) companies and other firms seeking air freight services. One option for shippers is to lease an entire aircraft when Amazon’s air operations are not at full capacity.

4. Loctek’s Two New Overseas Warehouses Set to Open

 

On November 4, it was announced that Loctek's global warehouse strategy is advancing with new warehouse facilities in the UK and Canada. The warehouses, located in Toronto, Canada (320,000 square feet) and Northampton, UK (130,000 square feet), are set to open on November 15. 9. Ozon Changes FBS Delivery Rules

 

On November 4, it was announced that Ozon will change its FBS (Fulfillment by Seller) delivery rules starting November 5 by introducing recommended shipping times. If goods are submitted before the recommended time, Ozon will transfer them for delivery on the same day. A 1% penalty of the product’s value will be charged for delays within 24 hours, 3% for delays of 24-48 hours, and 5% for delays over 48 hours. 12. Maersk Launches New Route

 

On November 4, Maersk launched a new route, with the maiden voyage of the vessel MERATUS BINTAN docking at Nansha Phase II Terminal, marking the official opening of the PHXM Southeast Asia route in the Nansha Port Area. The route, operated exclusively by Maersk, will call at ports in Shenzhen, Nansha, and Manila, with a capacity of 1,700 TEU and a weekly service frequency. Cargo can be transported from Nansha to the Port of Manila in just 42 hours.
