On October 16, DHL announced the launch of a new service that allows customers to return e-commerce items without the need to print shipping labels. This label-free service, now available in over 50 countries worldwide, is a digitally optimized process aimed at enhancing convenience and reducing paper waste. Customers can receive a QR code to present at a DHL service point or to a courier for returns. Michiel Greeven, Executive Vice President of Global Commercial at DHL Express, said the service is designed to provide an excellent customer experience and drive positive environmental change, supporting sectors like e-retail, fashion, and technology.

2. JD Logistics Cross-border E-commerce Center Project Operational


On October 16, JD Logistics (Shaanxi) Cross-border E-commerce Center officially became operational. Leveraging the bonded and cross-border functions of the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the center is set to attract upstream and downstream businesses to the cross-border e-commerce platform, mainly focusing on the "1210 Bonded Stock" business and operating JD’s cross-border e-commerce service platform. The launch of the bonded collaborative warehouse will provide merchants with services in logistics, commerce, capital flow, and information flow. By utilizing the combined advantages of international and domestic networks, JD’s bonded warehouse will shorten the inland region’s delivery time by one to two days.

3.STO Express Releases Q3 2024 Earnings Forecast

 

On October 16, STO Express (002468.SZ) released its Q3 earnings forecast, expecting a net profit of RMB 616 million to RMB 664 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 178.68% to 200.40%. For Q3 alone, net profits are estimated between RMB 179 million and RMB 227 million. In H1 2024, STO Express reported a net profit of RMB 437 million. The company also announced its net profit, excluding non-recurring gains and losses, for the first three quarters to be approximately RMB 601 million to RMB 649 million, an increase of 186.76% to 209.66% year-on-year.

4.JD Partners with Hongkong Post

 

On October 16, JD.com announced that just four hours after launching its 11.11 promotion, sales in the Hong Kong and Macau regions had tripled year-on-year. Additionally, JD Express revealed a strategic partnership with Hongkong Post, offering JD Mall users the option to pick up their orders at nearby post offices or iPostal stations.
