1.FanYuan International Wins Alibaba International East China Hub Warehouse Contract
On October 17, it was announced that FanYuan International's wholly-owned subsidiary, Hangzhou FanYuan International Logistics Co., Ltd. (Hangzhou FanYuan), recently received a notification from Shenzhen OneTouch Supply Chain Service Co., Ltd. that it has successfully won the bid for Alibaba International's East China Hub warehouse operations. Based on the service agreement, Hangzhou FanYuan will leverage the Yiwu Central Warehouse to cover the entire East China region, providing warehouse operation services to Alibaba International's merchants, including but not limited to package receipt, security checks, packing, order processing, delivery verification, consolidation, and shipment, as well as storage services.

2.JD Logistics Overseas Warehouse Area to Increase Over 100%
On October 17, JD Logistics announced that it would fully upgrade its Global Warehouse Network Plan. To improve the service experience for outbound brands and international customers, JD Logistics plans to increase its global overseas warehouse area by over 100% by the end of 2025. It will also expand the construction of bonded and direct mail warehouses. Additionally, JD Logistics aims to enhance its international express coverage, allowing consumers in nearly 80 countries to receive JD parcels from China by the end of this year.
Currently, JD Logistics has built a global supply chain network centered on overseas warehouses, including an overseas warehouse network, international transfer hubs, local distribution networks in overseas countries, and cross-border transport networks, continuously improving efficiency with cutting-edge supply chain technology.

3.Six Major Listed Airlines Announce First Three Quarters of Operating Data
On October 17, six listed airlines, including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Spring Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and Hainan Airlines, disclosed their operating results for the first three quarters of the year.
Air China: 1.069 million tons of cargo and mail, up 42.6% from 2023, and 1.8% higher than in 2019. China Southern Airlines: 1.353 million tons, up 20.9% from 2023, and 5.4% higher than in 2019. China Eastern Airlines: 772,000 tons, up 32.2% from 2023, and 10.7% higher than in 2019. Spring Airlines: 61,000 tons, up 26.5% from 2023, and 32.3% higher than in 2019. Juneyao Airlines: 98,000 tons, up 28.2% from 2023, and 12.1% higher than in 2019. Hainan Airlines: 362,000 tons, up 36.8% from 2023.

4.Cainiao Express Upgrades South China Sorting and Transfer Center
On October 17, it was announced that Cainiao Express’ self-operated South China sorting center has officially been put into use in Dongguan. The newly added sorting center is located in Cainiao’s self-built logistics park in Machong, Dongguan. In addition to the Cainiao Express sorting center, the park also hosts Cainiao's Europe-bound international express warehouse and other businesses.
Cainiao’s global express network continues to expand, not only in domestic delivery but also internationally, with eHubs in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Belgium fully operational. Core markets in Hong Kong, Spain, France, and Mexico are expanding local distribution networks to ensure a seamless global logistics experience.

7.Ozon to Halve Commission for Chinese Sellers in November

8.Shopee Indonesia to End Extended Warranty Option
On October 17, Shopee announced that its Indonesia platform would stop offering the extended warranty feature for local stores. 9. Ezhou Huahu Airport Handles 720,000 Tons of Cargo and Mail
As of October 13, Ezhou Huahu Airport has handled 720,000 tons of cargo and mail, ranking fifth in the nation. Its international cargo and mail volume has exceeded 160,000 tons, with 27 international cargo routes and 79 domestic and international cargo routes. 10.Nanchang-Dhaka International Cargo Route Launched
On October 17, an Airbus A330 freighter took off from Nanchang Changbei International Airport bound for Dhaka, Bangladesh, marking the official opening of the Nanchang-Dhaka all-cargo route. This is the first direct cargo route to South Asia from Nanchang Changbei International Airport.
The route, operated by Jiangxi International Cargo Airlines (under preparation) using an Airbus A330 freighter, will operate twice a week, with each flight capable of carrying up to 60 tons of cargo.

12. China’s Cross-border E-commerce Imports and Exports Reach RMB 1.88 Trillion in the First Three Quarters
On October 17, the General Administration of Customs spokesperson and Director of the Department of Statistics, Lu Daliang, announced that preliminary estimates show China’s cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached RMB 1.88 trillion in the first three quarters of 2024, a growth of 11.5%.
