Leaders from CCPIT and provincial CCPIT expressed in their speeches that in recent years, Shandong has witnessed rapid growth in cross-border e-commerce. The objective of this special training session is to help more enterprises understand policies, seize market opportunities, and explore new blue oceans in international trade. In the first eight months of 2024, China's total trade value in goods reached RMB 28.58 trillion, with exports totaling RMB 16.45 trillion, a 6.9% growth. According to preliminary estimates from the General Administration of Customs, in the first three quarters of 2024, China’s cross-border e-commerce imports and exports reached RMB 1.88 trillion, marking an 11.5% year-on-year increase, of which exports accounted for RMB 1.48 trillion, an increase of 15.2%. These figures highlight the pivotal role of cross-border e-commerce in driving the growth of China's foreign trade.

Regarding global market competition, Dai Bin presented data on export values, growth rates, and proportions for key countries/regions in 2023. He particularly highlighted exports to ASEAN, the EU, and the United States, as well as their respective shares of total exports. He emphasized that B2B cross-border e-commerce exports have consistently been the primary contributor to the industry's scale, while B2C e-commerce has seen rapid growth, driven by the expansion of emerging markets, fragmented orders, and intensified platform competition.
