2. China Southern Airlines Logistics Expands Overseas Express Pickup Stations to 18
On November 14, China Southern Airlines Logistics announced that many overseas countries and regions joined the free shipping zones of domestic e-commerce platforms this year, leading to a significant rise in cross-border e-commerce volumes. During the Double 11 period, exports from Guangzhou’s port handled by China Southern Airlines Logistics increased by more than 10% year-on-year.

On November 14, reports highlighted that among the top seven global e-commerce platforms, six are Chinese. This data should capture the attention of marketers and retailers worldwide. According to Salesforce forecasts, this holiday season, Temu, Shein, AliExpress, and TikTok’s share of global purchases could reach 21%, or approximately $160 billion in e-commerce revenue (excluding China).
Chinese e-commerce platforms are rapidly expanding globally. Earlier this year, Temu announced it would dominate the U.S. market with $21 million in Super Bowl ad revenue and became the top-downloaded app on iOS and Google Play in the first half of 2024. 8.Shopee Ends Partnership with KerryExpress
On November 14, Shopee announced it would terminate its partnership with KerryExpress (KEX), ceasing standard delivery services. Sellers will no longer be able to select KerryExpress for logistics. 11. Hangzhou to Los Angeles All-Cargo Route Launched
On November 14, a cargo flight carrying 105 tons of goods departed from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, with stops in Incheon and Anchorage, before reaching Los Angeles. This is the fourth international all-cargo route opened at Hangzhou airport this year. Previously, the airport launched cargo routes to Miami, Vancouver, Osaka, and resumed service to Mexico City. 12. Guangzhou Customs Oversees Over 3 Million Daily Cross-Border Transactions
On November 13, Guangzhou Customs reported a surge in cross-border e-commerce inspections. From 8 PM on October 31 to November 11, Guangzhou Customs processed approximately 38.85 million cross-border e-commerce retail import and export declarations, a 51.9% year-on-year increase. Among these, retail import declarations totaled 4.915 million, with food and cosmetics as the main imported goods, while retail export declarations reached 33.93 million, with clothing and plastic products as the primary exports. The surge in cross-border e-commerce activity, spurred by shopping festivals, is driving high-quality economic growth.
