1. DHL's 2024 Revenue Reaches 84.2 Billion Euros


On March 10,
it was reported that DHL Group's fourth-quarter revenue in 2024 increased by 6.4% year-over-year, reaching 22.7 billion euros. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) grew by 12.9% to 1.9 billion euros. Full-year 2024 revenue increased by 3.0%, totaling 84.2 billion euros, with EBIT reaching 5.9 billion euros.


DHL's fourth-quarter air cargo volume increased by 8.1% year-over-year, reaching 468,000 tons. The Global Forwarding, Freight (GFF) division's air freight revenue grew by 16.4% in Q4 to 1.6 billion euros, with gross profit up by 21.3%. Total Q4 revenue for GFF grew 12% year-over-year to 5 billion euros. For the entire year 2024, air cargo volume reached 1.8 million tons, a 6.8% increase year-over-year.

2. FedEx Accelerates Network 2.0 Plan


On March 10,
it was reported that FedEx is accelerating its Network 2.0 plan, with six more freight centers recently confirmed to close and two facilities laying off staff, affecting locations in Tennessee, Illinois, Virginia, and West Virginia. Since 2023, FedEx has confirmed that at least 22 freight centers have been affected as part of its cost-reduction and efficiency-boosting measures. The Network 2.0 plan aims to merge FedEx's Express and Ground network operations. The company stated that in areas where the plan has been fully implemented, pickup and delivery costs have decreased by 10%. By the end of fiscal year 2025, FedEx expects to consolidate 250 sites, with 130 sites in Canada already optimized.

it was reported that TikTok Shop’s U.S. site has updated its tax compliance requirements for 2024. The threshold for issuing the 1099-K form has been lowered from $20,000 to $5,000. This means that sellers who receive over $5,000 in total payments on the platform will receive a 1099-K tax form. Sellers who fail to comply risk having 24% of their sales proceeds withheld or facing permanent shop closures.

10. Maersk and CMA CGM Jointly Launch New Shipping Route

it was reported that shipping giants Maersk and CMA CGM have reached a new cooperation agreement. The two companies have announced the launch of a new shipping route connecting Asia and the east coast of South America. Maersk refers to the route as the ASAS2 route, while CMA CGM names it SEAS 3.
